Massimo Moggi of the Institute of Economics at SSSant’Anna and Seldon Group (Italy) raised in his speech the topics such as the enhancement in AI models and explosion of data. There will be 50 billion of IoT devices by 2020. Moggi analyzed current trends within Gartner Hype Cycle: hype – drop – plateau of productivity. He spoke on surveys and data collection activities by governments and outlined the risks of not so effective political decisions based on mistakes in findings. He raised other important questions: Who owns AI? Who patents artificial intelligence?
